Makarand Narwekar: I am a practicing lawyer by profession born and brought up in Colaba, Mumbai. My father, Suresh Narwekar has represented various wards in Colaba as a Municipal Corporator for over 20 years. He has had the distinction of being elected even as an independent candidate as a result of his service. The values inculcated in my childhood and my passion to bring about a change in the governance has prompted me to put my foot down and not allow some corrupt self centered politician to take me for a ride. That is why I have volunteered to be the citizens candidate for the forthcoming Municipal Elections.
